IX Use Case: An Ideasicle X Subscription Isn't Right For Everyone. Here's How To Know If It's Right For You.

Ideasicle X is a software platform designed to help marketing organizations and agencies tap into world-class freelance talent to come up with creative ideas. It’s an incredibly powerful tool R&D’ed over a ten-year period of virtual trial and virtual error. However, it is a clear disruption to our normal ways of coming up with ideas. As such, it’s not right for everyone. What follows a five situations where an Ideasicle X Subscription (IX) may NOT be right for your organization.

  1. IX is less valuable…If your organization has never outsourced ideas in the past. Ideasicle X can still be used with your own employees as the idea generators, but the main draw is access to our group of A-list freelancers or inviting your own list of freelancers into the system. So if your organization isn’t open to outsourcing ideas categorically, then you can probably stop right here.

  2. IX is less valuable…If your organization does not have a need for ideas at least once a month. If you only need ideas every six months, then you certainly don’t need an annual subscription to Ideasicle X. You can subscribe for a month at a time and use it as needed.

  3. IX won’t stand a chance…If your organization (or you) believe dogmatically that creativity can only happen when the creatives are together, in person, face-to-face. We have found that to be wildly untrue and we doubt we’ll convince you, but here’s a link to our evidence just in case you’re curious.

  4. IX is less valuable…If you shudder at the thought of learning a new “way” for coming up with ideas. We get it, IX is different. And, despite the interface being surprisingly easy to navigate and the fact we are there for you every step of the way, we have seen agencies minimize variables by assigning one person to organize all idea projects. But we fully admit it does require a little effort at first.

  5. IX is less valuable…If your organization is feeling little pressure to bring down freelance costs. Good for you, btw! If you’re okay bringing in A-list teams at $1,500 per day (at least) per person (so, $3,000 per day per team), and can afford to do that on a weekly basis, then don’t bother with Ideasicle X. We will be quicker with the ideas, will provide visibility into the team’s creative progress, and will provide more talent (4 people vs just 2 per team) for less money with each job, but may not be worth the disruption of learning a new way of doing things.

  6. IX will drive you nuts…If you are easily overwhelmed with too many ideas. I’m not being facetious here, I’m serious. I’ve seen customers who get 30-50 ideas posted on the IX platform within a couple days throw their hands up as their auras collapse into the earth. I was even told by one very senior customer that he found that some creative directors these days can’t handle so many ideas at once. So, if you would prefer that whomever you outsource ideas to comes back with a tight, curated presentation of 3-4 ideas, then a Subscription to Ideasicle X will make your head explode. Try our ProXy Service instead, where we manage the process and make it more digestible (at least 10 ideas, but it’s nicely packaged).

So if you were thinking of calling for a demo of the Ideasicle X platform, but you fall into one of the situations described above, please think twice. It’s probably not the right choice for you.

Hey, nothing is unthinkable.
